Overview of all our services

  • Lenders’ Technical Advisory

Our Lenders Technical Advisory (LTA) team has won multiple awards for our work on complex infrastructure and energy projects. With experience on hundreds of large scale projects covering a wide range of asset classes, BTY is consistently ranked among the top technical advisors globally. We provide lenders with independent, third-party due diligence renowned for its quality, clarity and utility to understand and mitigate risk. Our experts assess project viability and pricing as well as factors critical to renewables success such as land use, local capacity, grid connectivity, intermittent generation and reliability of power supply, curtailment, and energy storage. We continue to support project success through the construction period providing regular monitoring and progress reports to ensure adherence to budget and schedule.

  • Pre-Acquisition Due Diligence

Our Secondary Market Transaction advisory services provides investors, financial institutions, utilities, and independent power producers with independent, third-party due diligence that enables sound decision making in the potential acquisition of renewable or other clean energy assets. We identify and evaluate potential risk – and mitigation measures – at every stage of an asset’s lifecycle from a 360-degree perspective. Our concise reporting makes it easier for potential purchasers to understand and manage complex risks and concerns – financial, technical, environmental, social and/or regulatory – to safeguard a healthy return on investment. Whether buy-side or sell side, for a single project, or a portfolio, or an energy platform, BTY’s Secondary Market Transaction Advisory services support sound and timely investment decisions.

  • Project Management

BTY provides professional Project Management expertise at each stage of building and managing a renewable or clean energy project. We adapt our services to fit the project size and complexity, and advise on optimum procurement methods and technologies. Whatever the project type, our goal is to always protect the owner’s interests – from the concept design phase through construction, operation, and decommissioning. Our team includes Project Management Professionals, Construction Managers, LEAN Certified experts, and Scheduling and Risk Managers. They work together to support project success in renewables and clean energy by identifying and managing complex issues in resource variability, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Value Engineering

Our primary goal as value engineers is to help improve project economics by delivering the optimum – and most sustainable – solution for the best cost-benefit ratio. BTY’s Value Engineering services integrate the expertise of our local construction cost, risk management, technical design and project finance experts. Their knowledge then enables us to identify the main cost reduction opportunities and generate cost improvement alternatives that support optimizing design for reducing both CAPEX and OPEX while considering power collection, yields, capacity, modern grid requirements, and redundancy.

  • Feasibility Studies

A sound Feasibility Study provides a well-rounded overview for all stakeholders in a potential renewables or clean energy project. We bring global experience in identifying opportunities for local projects and mitigating technical risks in project development. Our due diligence and knowledge domain serve to evaluate financial, technical, design, and environmental issues to determine project viability with regard to site selection, power evacuation, environmental restrictions, and estimates of maximum production potential, among other factors. In addition, we can provide Value for Money Analysis, Economic, Environmental, and Social Impact Assessments, Proforma Development, Budget and Schedule Analysis, and Business Case development.

  • Yield Analysis

The capital and operational costs for renewable energy projects can vary widely by energy type, technology and country, making accurate yield analysis especially complex. BTY’s expertise in, and understanding of the appropriate analytical methods to apply, supports sound investment decision-making. We provide comprehensive, integrated analyses of location, design, CAPEX and OPEX assumptions, resource and network adequacy, and frequency and voltage stability to accurately identify energy yields.
