BTY’s team successfully certified the Substantial Completion of the Calgary Composting Facility.
Substantial Completion was achieved on 29th June, 2017 and BTY is delighted to extend congratulations to both the City of Calgary and Chinook Resources Management General Partnership (CRMG), a Joint Venture between Bird Construction and Maple Reinders.
The $143m P3 project, located at the Sheppard landfill, involves the development of a composting facility capable of processing up to 100,000 tonnes per year of source separated organics and 45,000 tonnes per year (dry weight) of anaerobically digested dewatered biosolids.
BTY’s team includes Partner, Gord Smith; Directors, Nicholas Burrows and Nathan Gerbrecht; and Senior Project Consultant Hannah Owens. BTY continues to facilitate the Authority and the Project Co. through to Final Completion which is expected in August 2017.
The Calgary Composting Facility is one of five BTY Independent Certifier projects to achieve Substantial Completion or Service Commencement in H1, 2017.
