Are you an exceptional leader?

At BTY, we’re always on the look-out for top candidates to join our team.

Let's Talk

The Pacific Northwest has two of the country's fastest-growing cities, with Seattle ranking at #6 and Portland at #10 according to Forbes.

BTY Project Manager, Sean Salmela, is drawing on more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience to help BTY expand its Lenders Services practice throughout the booming region.

Leading BTY’s Seattle practice through an exciting period of unprecedented growth, Sean sees continued strong economic performance driven in part by continuing expansion of some of the world’s most successful high-tech companies.

The demand is strong in every sector: residential, commercial, office and hotel, industrial and warehousing,” says Sean. “I’ve worked on more than a dozen projects this year in the Seattle area alone and am confident we’ll be able to reach more new clients as we continue demonstrating value in this important market.”

Sean also acknowledges building momentum as BTY gains traction in Portland, another burgeoning Pacific Northwest metropolitan area. The city issued nearly 12,000 buildings permits through the first 10 months of its current fiscal year for a record $2.5 billion in projects. That eclipsed the previous high of $1.9 billion set the year before.

Prior to joining BTY in Seattle, Sean spent close to 20 years in New York, primarily engaged in structural bridge engineering and project management.  On his move to BTY, Sean reflects “my time with BTY over the past year has been a great experience. I find the internal culture to be professional and supportive – quite unlike the competitive nature of many corporate environments.  It’s inspiring to work with such talented and professional co-workers and I am continually in awe at how BTY’s established reputation brings new and challenging projects I may not previously have had the opportunity to work on. From a professional development perspective, being entrusted with responsibility to manage regional projects has provided an invaluable investment in my career.”

Sean’s recent project experience includes providing Lenders’ Services on:

  • Two towers comprising 206-unit luxury midrise multifamily apartments (255,000 SF), Seattle, WA
  • Two concrete tilt-up wall warehouses (1.1m SF), Tacoma, WA
  • The Mark high-rise office and hotel tower, Seattle, WA
  • Various luxury midrise multi-family apartments, Seattle, WA
  • LARC at Kent Station affordable senior housing, Kent, WA
  • Single concrete tilt-up wall warehouse (550,000 SF), San Bernardino, CA
