Incoming partners represent next generation of ownership
BTY Group is pleased to announce the appointment of five new shareholders, all of whom have played pivotal roles in the firm’s expansion into new markets, sectors, and services, and lead the execution of the consultancy’s strategic growth plan.
Over the past four decades, BTY has grown from three offices in Western Canada with one service line to more than 15 offices across North America and Europe offering services through the complete asset management cycle delivered by a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
The firm is a global leader in advisory services for multinational infrastructure developments. This, combined with BTY’s entrepreneurial DNA, has helped the firm stand out as a clear choice for emerging and established industry leaders to develop their professional careers.
BTY welcomes the following new shareholders
Marie Foley
Director, Infrastructure Advisory Services
Marie has more than 20 years of industry experience and joined BTY’s Toronto office in 2015. She leads the firm’s Infrastructure Advisory Services and is recognized as an industry leader in this field. A member of the CIQS and RICS, she also serves on the steering committee for Women’s Infrastructure Network Toronto (WIN), and on the board of the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP).
Michael Gabert
Director, Cost Management Services
Michael joined BTY in 2011 and has more than 13 years of industry experience. Based in Calgary, he leads the firm’s Cost Management Services, and led BTY’s expansion across the Canadian Prairies in all services while supporting key mandates in the United States. A former President of CIQS Prairies & NWT, Michael was also awarded a Fellowship (PQS(F)) by the CIQS in 2019.
Louis Guilbeault
Director, Project Management Services
Louis joined BTY in 2015 and is based in the firm’s Ottawa office. He brings more than 26 years of industry experience in all facets of the capital project lifecycle. Since joining the firm, Louis has established Project Management as a core BTY service offering, leading a team of planning and construction experts on major capital projects in the healthcare, education, energy, and real estate sectors.
Saira Muzaffar
Director, Marketing & Communications
Saira joined BTY’s Toronto office in 2009 and has over 13 years of industry experience. She leads BTY’s global team, strengthening the firm’s brand through corporate development, strategic planning, marketing, and communications. A member of the steering committees for WIN Toronto and ULI Toronto’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, Saira also chairs the board for TechGirls Canada.
Rob Wilson
Director, Project Monitoring & Lender Services
Rob has more than 13 years of experience advising on construction finance and asset management in North America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Oceania. He leads the firm’s Project Monitoring & Lender Services team. Since joining BTY’s Vancouver office in 2014, Rob rose swiftly into senior leadership providing client management, business development, and staff management. Elected as a member of the RICS Governing Council in 2018, he was awarded a Fellowship (FRICS) in 2020.
