This major project for the University of Saskatchewan is being partially funded through the federal government’s Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund to construct a landmark research facility.
BTY’s mandate includes providing full Project Management services for the facility completion, including budget preparation and tracking; schedule development and monitoring; stakeholder engagement; design management; construction coordination; and project reporting. In addition to this, we have been engaged to provide equipment coordination and planning services.
The project comprises the design and construction of a new state-of-the-art research facility. It is being delivered using the Fast Track Construction Management model. It will include a 3-storey building with 61,000 square feet of wet and dry laboratory spaces, collaborative workspaces and administrative/support facilities. The entire building is being designed and built in accordance with Biosafety Level 2 specifications and criteria.
