New country, new job, new future
As a new immigrant to the country with years of experience as a Project Manager outside Canada, the trust BTY placed in me has been priceless.
I started with BTY as a Co-op student on November 2016 and was eager to extend my term because I really enjoyed work with the group and learning more about the industry. Happily, BTY offered me a position in Ottawa office and I’ve been a BTY’er ever since. I feel so grateful to be a member of such a great team, with knowledgeable managers, a friendly environment and amazing projects.
Having lots of opportunities to learn more about the local market by attending professional networking events such as Women in Infrastructure and BTY’s annual client event has been invaluable. Even better, BTY also provides great opportunities to work on skills and get training inside and outside of the company in the areas that need improvement.
As a member of Project Management team, I’ve also had opportunities to work in different offices (Ottawa and Toronto), and within different service lines, including Technical Advisory and Independent Certification. I have always been passionate about P3 projects because of the benefits they bring specific communities and society in general. I’m proud that I was able to play a small role in great projects such as the Ottawa and Eglinton LRTs and Casey House Hospice.
