Discover endless opportunities at BTY

My career journey has been an exciting and rewarding adventure so far.

Arriving in 2014 as a Project Consultant, my new team immediately inspired me. I recognized the fantastic opportunity I had at BTY. There’s no doubt about it, at BTY you get out what you put in. This was demonstrated in 2016 when I was promoted to Director. The learning curve has been steep, but I have benefitted from excellent training and development from the leadership team.

A key to BTY’s success is the effective collaboration between service lines and offices throughout the world. This has afforded me the opportunity to provide all of our service offerings, globally, enhancing my personal development. In addition, I have had the privilege of meeting and networking at a number of exciting industry events around the world, most recently the MIPIM conference in Cannes, France.

Whenever I am asked the best thing about working at BTY, my answer is easy. The team. Our team at BTY is without doubt the most diverse, gifted, fun and professional group of people I have had the opportunity to work with. It is a pleasure to strive, succeed and learn alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. BTY embraces diversity, our team is built with people from all over the world and from all walks of life. As an Englishman who lived in worked in New Zealand before coming to Canada, I knew the challenges of settling in to a new environment. Within weeks of joining BTY, I felt part of the family. That’s the main reason that I now happily call Canada my new “home away from home”.

The last four years have been unbelievable, working on projects in Europe, the Caribbean and some of the biggest projects in North America. Notable projects include; The Beetham Water Recycling Plant (Beetham, Trinidad & Tobago), The SRO Renewal Initiative (Vancouver, Canada), Station Square (Burnaby, Canada), The Port Coquitlam Recreational Centre (Port Coquitlam, Canada), The Climate Innovation District (Leeds, UK) and Transit Village (Surrey, Canada). I am excited to see where the next four years will take BTY as a company and me personally. Right now, the sky feels like the limit!
