In the spirit of celebrating Earth Day this year, we’re proud to announce that Moses Structural Engineers and BTY are joining forces to offer integrated expertise in wood construction design, engineering and cost management.
The partnership’s aim is to provide authorities, owners and developers comprehensive yet practical construction solutions that have been developed and vetted by industry leaders in each firm, starting with a joint feasibility study on using wood for multi-storey buildings incorporating various density and demographic scenarios in Ontario.
Both companies share a history of playing pioneering roles in expanding the use of wood in construction across Canadian markets.
BTY provided the cost expertise in some of the first groundbreaking studies to evaluate the feasibility of wood buildings in British Columbia, including The Wood Framed Construction Cost Study in collaboration with the Urban Development Institute and, The Case for Tall Wood Buildings, which was commissioned by the Canadian Wood Council. The firm is already providing Cost Management and Lender Services for the growing list of multi-storey wood buildings in BC.
