Joe Rekab

Joe has 45 years of international experience in the development and infrastructure industries. As part of the firm’s Executive Team, he is responsible for advising on BTY’s global growth and financial strategy.

For most of the past four decades, Joe has played a lead role in guiding BTY’s business development, service diversification and expansion into new markets and sectors. In that time the firm has grown from a single service regional operator to a highly regarded, award-winning multidisciplinary global operation. Prior to leading the firm as Chairman, Joe served as BTY’s Managing Partner, building and maintaining long-term client relationships and strategic alliances across all industries and project sectors as well as instituting leadership development and mentoring numerous emerging leaders in the firm.

An accredited Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Joe is widely respected for his deep understanding of how large-scale development and infrastructure builds healthy and sustainable communities. He has held several leadership positions in the industry and regularly contributes to initiatives supporting innovation in construction, sustainable building, health care delivery, affordable housing and transit-oriented development.
