Omar has deep technical expertise in energy yield assessment and renewable energy project engineering, and guides projects through all phases from early feasibility and design to construction and operations monitoring. Since joining BTY, Omar has provided specialized technical advisory services to renewable energy developers, asset owners, and lenders; helping ensure that wind, solar, and energy storage assets achieve maximum performance and reliability.
Throughout his career, Omar has contributed to a wide range of renewable energy projects, including offshore and onshore wind farms, floating and ground-mounted solar installations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and small hydroelectric plants. He is adept at performing full, independent Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) studies for wind and solar projects using industry-standard software such as WindFarmer and PVsyst, and excels at optimizing wind farm layouts in challenging terrain through advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing. In addition, he also provides expert guidance on BESS integration and detailed feasibility studies.
