Let's Talk

The Saskatchewan Joint-Use Schools Project 1 and Project 2 P3 Project is the largest schools construction project in Saskatchewan's history.

The collective project includes the design and delivery of 18 schools for 11,100 students from kindergarten to grade eight at nine joint use sites in Regina, Saskatoon, Martensville and Warman, all communities experiencing unprecedented population growth. The new schools, which will also include 810 child-care spaces and community resource space, will be fully-owned and operated by their school divisions. This design-build-finance-maintain P3 Project has a CAPEX of $369,505,078.

BTY is delighted to extend our congratulations to the Project Co. and Authority for both Project #1 and Project #2 on achieving this significant milestone. The Project Co. and Authority for Project #1 are the Joint Use Mutual Partnership #1 (Project Co.) and Ministry of Education (Authority). The Project Co. and Authority for Project #2 are the Joint Use Mutual Partnership #2 (Project Co.) and Ministry of Education (Authority). Final Completion is expected in August 2017.

The Independent Certifier team at BTY is being led by Regional Director Michael Gabert, Director Nicholas Burrows, Senior Project Consultants Ciaran McFadden, Steve Botsio and Ben Weishaupt. The Saskatchewan Joint-Use Schools Project #1 and Saskatchewan Joint-Use Schools Project #2 is one of five BTY Independent Certifier projects to achieve Substantial Completion or Service Commencement in H1, 2017.
