As Lenders’ Technical, Environmental and Social Consultant, BTY would like to congratulate all the stakeholders and project team members involved in the Kocaeli Integrated Health Campus for reaching this major milestone.
The EUR328 million Kocaeli Integrated Health Campus is one of the 4-four mega hospital PPP projects BTY is currently involved as Lenders’ Technical Environmental and Social (LTES) Advisors in Turkey. The Project comprises a Main Hospital consisting a Women & Paediatrics Hospital, a Cardiovascular Hospital and an Oncology Hospital; Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital; and High Security Forensic Hospital. The Project will have a total bed capacity of 1,180, and a total car parking capacity of 3,140. It also includes a Trigeneration plant with an estimated maximum installed capacity of 7500 kVA that is geared to be partially self-sufficient for power generation.
Our team has been involved with this project at the capacity of the Lenders’ Technical, Environmental and Social Consultant and completed a full scope due diligence into financial close. We have also been selected to continue our role into the Construction Monitoring phase as the LTES Advisor. We are assigned and have signed a direct contract with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkey to act as the Project’s Independent Technical Advisor, a specific role defined in Turkish Healthcare PPPs.
The Senior Lenders of the Project are Overseas Private Investment Corporation (“OPIC”), Export Development Canada (“EDC”), and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD”).
