While our industry has a long way to go in addressing gender parity and equity in construction related fields, 2018 has been a pivotal year of resounding support needed to achieve these goals.
We are motivated to do our part – not just to retain our advantage in having the best talent but also to transform the future of our profession.
With our upcoming 40Forward celebration in London (November 8), we are spotlighting the professionals leading BTY’s growth in EMEA. Connect with them to learn more about why they chose BTY to build their careers.
Marie leads BTY’s award-winning P3 Advisory team, bringing 18 years of industry experience in providing Lenders’ Technical Advisory services for P3 projects across North America, Europe and abroad. She also volunteers for the Women’s Infrastructure Network.
“The conversation is no longer about proving the need for diversity because we know it directly contributes to growth and resiliency. We now need to develop guidelines and resources that ensure women and people from underrepresented backgrounds actually get to access the opportunities that tie together the goals of business growth, professional advancement and building better communities.”
Rachael is an Associate Director at BTY, providing Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Programme Management, Employer’s Agent and Lenders Services with 10 years of industry experience in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
“BTY has proven to be a good choice for my career because it has maintained its culture of entrepreneurial enthusiasm while adapting for growth. This is a culture we practice as a team across borders and across service lines.”
Sibel is BTY’s Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) services for the Europe, Middle East and North Africa, bringing over two decades of experience delivering EHS services. She is an expert in environmental and social impact assessments, environmental management, occupational health and safety, risk and consequence assessments and HSE auditing.
“I joined BTY earlier this year and it is great to see women in leadership positions across the business. The sector is changing because of companies like BTY, not just by supporting more women entering the workforce, but actually investing in developing talent and leadership.”
Based in BTY’s Ankara office, Göze’s areas of expertise include Programme and Project Management, Infrastructure Finance and Commercial Management. She also brings 15 years of experience as a Social Specialist providing audits and impact assessments for EBRD projects and major infrastructure mandates in North America.
“At BTY, we celebrate excellence and independence. If you are driven by innovation, thinking outside the box, doing that little bit more, you get recognized and that is a great feeling.”
