Congratulations to the University of California Merced 2020 team, Plenary Group and Webcor for achieving Substantial Completion on June 1, 2020.
The three-phase project has doubled the university’s capacity by adding 1.2 million square feet of teaching, research, residential and student-support facilities to the existing campus. The PPP was delivered under the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain model with a handback term of 39 years.
BTY provided a full range of due diligence on the project including Lenders’ Technical Advisory and Construction Phase Monitoring services. We were also engaged as the Independent Expert through the Substantial Completion certification process.
